The Azimut 78 Fly is new flagship of the Azimut Yachts Flybridge range, with external design by Alberto Mancini and interiors by Achille Salvagni. Powered by IPS (1,200 or 1,350) triple engines this boat features a sophisticated construction with extensive use of carbon.

The new 78 Fly (initially presented at the Miami Yacht Show as Azimut 76) is 23.6 metres long and 5.75 metres wide and will be part of the Azimut Carbon-Tech generation: the superstructure, fly, hardtop and platform are in carbon while the deck is in hybrid glass-carbon. It will be the first boat in the Flybridge range to be equipped with Volvo Penta IPS triple propulsion, a choice that has long been at the heart of the Avigliana brand’s S series. It will be three IPS 1,200 or 1,350, to reach a top speed of up to 30 knots.

The interiors, designed by Achille Salvagni, will be available in two versions. The first one is the Lounge, characterized by the overcoming of the traditional division between the dining area and the living. This layout gives great freedom of use of the lounge area, thanks to the versatility of the dining table, which can be transformed into a coffee table if necessary, allowing to enjoy much larger spaces in which to move easily between the two areas of the room.

Azimut 78 Fly distinguishes itself by a layout that, as is usually the case on larger boats, devotes much attention to protecting privacy on board.  The spaces dedicated to the crew are at the bow, with access from the helm and galley, which can be completely separated from the living/dining area and from the staircase down to the sleeping area. On the lower deck, the night area offers, in addition to the owner’s suite, two VIP cabins and a fourth guest cabin with twin beds, all with dedicated bathroom.

Marco Valle, managing director of Azimut Yachts, defined the project as follows: “The 78 Fly is an ultra-innovative boat that is strategically positioned in the segment halfway between Azimut 72 and Azimut Grande 25 meters, effectively responding to the growth expectations of our customers”.
