SUPERYACHTS 24 December 2019
Built by German yard Blohm & Voss and delivered in 1990, the renowned 105-metre motor yacht Lady Moura has now been listed for sale by Arne Ploch and Andrew LeBuhn at Camper & Nicholsons International.
At her launch, Lady Moura registered as the ninth largest yacht ever built. With her innovative systems and engineering, she set a new standard in yachting. Offered for sale by the original owner, she is now on the market for the first time.
Commissioned by a team of experts who paid meticulous attention to every detail, she served as a private family residence. For this reason, she has been maintained to the ultimate standard: a continuous updating that has annulled the need for major refits, with her longest yard period to date being a seven-month stay at her original builders in 2017.
Built to Lloyds Classification, her range exceeds 8000nm at full cruising speed (17 knots). Her generators and engines were recently rebuilt, new teak decks were applied and the crew and technical spaces were renovated.
Great space on board
At a 6,395GT, Lady Moura accommodates a variety of on board amenities, such as a helipad, a movie theatre / disco with DJ room, and a gym. The two galleys aboard, one for the owner and one for the crew, are both equipped with the finest commercial-grade appliances, a bakery and separate owner/crew laundry facilities. She can accommodate up to 26 guests in total and provides quarters for a complement of 72 crew and staff.
Leading the way for many innovative design elements, Lady Moura features balconies off the beach club and side boarding platforms, an engineering first at the time of her launch. Additional design highlights include hydraulic operated shell ports, doors, flaps, roofs, gangways and cranes delivering effortless operation and optimum guest comfort. Most equipment is hidden behind these hydraulically operated doors to achieve an uncluttered, streamlined look – that includes tenders, anchors and even navigation lights.
The beach club, positioned amidships with balconies both port and starboard, offers easy access to and from the ocean. In addition to this, Lady Moura features six hydraulic gangways (when alongside or stern-to) and two entrances ensuring a safe and seamless transition from tender to mother ship in any sea condition.
Cabins and interiors
Conceived specifically as a family luxury yacht, Lady Moura dedicates one of her seven decks exclusively to family living. Along with the full beam owner’s suite on this deck, are six cabins, for a total of 2,600sq.m of private chambers.
Lady Moura’s interior design from Italian-born Luigi Sturchio features lounges with deep cushioned sofas, regal dining rooms, and staterooms with en suites finished in marble. The furnishings have been chosen with great consideration for functionality, without impinging on aesthetic.
The price of Lady Moura is available on request.
